The Crosscut® platform platform is used to collect the photos of the skin via the connected object in the POS, retrieve, via a web service, weather flows and send them to the L’Oréal datacentre. The result of the analysis and recommendation algorithms (protected and secure on on-prem IS) is then sent via the platform to the connected object at the POS. The operation is completed in less than 3 minutes. The CRM is also updated through the Crosscut® platform.

PROCESSES INSTALLED

The vendor starts by taking photos of the customer’s skin; these photos are then sent via  Crosscut® to the L’Oréal datacentre. When they are sent, the message is enhanced by information regarding the temperature and hydrometry (geo-located weather flows managed by Crosscut®). The information received (image and weather data) is then analysed using an algorithm. Next, again through Crosscut®, the diagnostic is returned to the smartphone accompanied by a recommendation for 3 products in the brand’s catalogue.

At the end of the experience, the information collected on the customer is updated in the local CRM hosted in the L’Oréal IS and in the global CRM hosted in the cloud.

At the end of the experience, the information collected on the customer is updated in the local CRM hosted in the L’Oréal IS and in the global CRM hosted in the cloud. Finally, the anonymous photos are input via Crosscut® in a Big Data solution hosted in the cloud. These photos are stored for subsequent research purposes.
